Beautiful 2009

For the December/January issue of Vogue, photographer Terry Richardson created a fourteen month calendar.

Luckily, this won’t qualify as too risque to use as my office calendar.  After all, it’s fashion and thus art if anyone is concerned. And, in a workplace dominated by men – I think I can count the women employees on one hand actually – I can’t even tell you the things i’ve overheard or seen. Actually, I think they’ll love this.

This pin-up style feature is a bit tame compared to the highly sexualized photographs of the female body that I have seen before in Richardson’s pieces. They tend to sit right at the cusp of vulgar with a sensational vulnerability that makes it easier to swallow. These pictures do appease my idea of sexy and certainly makese sense given the wide scale nature of Vogue magazine. This particular issue of Vogue should hit stores November 28th.
